Stop vermin entering your home/office via the toilet
We manufacture and distribute anti-vermin devices for the UK and USA markets (UK and US patents pending) known as the SRVB (USA) and ARB-1 (UK).
The SRVB (US patent pending) fits all US four inch S-trap waste systems. Please note that this product will not fit three inch waste systems and therefore it is the responsibility of the purchaser to check the measurement of the waste pipe they wish to install this device to.
The ARB-1 (UK patent pending) fits all UK P-trap waste systems.
It is a known fact that many people across the USA have had unpleasant experiences when using their toilets to find that snakes, rats, frogs etc have gained access to their homes/offices via the toilet sewerage system. Numerous people have been bitten whilst sitting on the toilet or trying to remove the vermin from their homes. There are many forums, newspaper articles and TV stations reporting these incidents (click on facts). These incidents are now also becoming more common in the United Kingdom.
Rats getting into toilet bowls is a common problem that can be controlled. Our devices (SRVB and ARB-1) are designed to prevent any type of vermin gaining access to buildings/homes via the toilet sewerage system which is home to all kinds of unpleasant creatures trying to find their way out.
The SRVB and ARB-1 devices are used to:
- Deter vermin from gaining access to the inside of buildings
via the WC pan.
- Prevent cross flow in horizontally opposed connections to
discharge pipes or discharge stacks.
- Reduce backflow of effluent in the event of a blockage in
the underground drainage system.
- Reduce void space for pipework.
- Assist in flood plain areas stopping solids coming back up
through toilet. When it rains rivers rise and vermin come
up through the pipes trying to fore their way out.
- Eliminate the need to dig up roads, dig out walls etc to get to the drainage system as the barriers on easily accessible.
Broken sewer lines and storm drains allow vermin to easily gain access to the main systems and eventually they can make their way into your home. Using the SRVB or ARB-1 barrier on your toilet ensures vermin are contained within the sewer system leaving the appropriate authorities to kill/bait them rather than in your own home. Rats can easily swim half a mile in open water and can tread water for up to three days. It is possible for a rat to walk up a vertical soil pipe from the sewer, swim through the water-filled piping inside the toilet, and surface in the toilet bowl.
